Single-sided hydraulic locks
The functional purpose of all types of hydraulic locks is the static retention of hydraulic cylinders in the desired position under conditions of increased workloads. Hydraulic locks set the direction of the cylinder cavities to perform:
- locking (locking) of the assembly units;
- passing the flow of process fluid in two directions.
As a rule, hydraulic locks are installed between the cylinder and the distributor. Thanks to the reliable fixation, oil leakage in the shut-off and control device is excluded here. Characteristics and applications of single-sided hydraulic locks
The device has a one-way action: by passing the flow of hydraulic oil in one direction, the hydraulic lock of the support locks the cylinder cavity.
The unidirectional valve belongs to the type of shut-off and control valves. With the help of a one-way hydraulic lock, the actuator (hydraulic cylinder) is blocked in one direction.
Manufacturers produce one-sided hydraulic locks of the following modifications:
- unloaded into the atmosphere;
- with built-in manual valve;
- flanged;
- high pressure.
By passing the working fluid in one direction, hydraulic locks with one-way oil passage lock the flow in the opposite direction. After locking, the shut-off valve will open the pressure in the hydraulic system.
