The Burkert innovative diaphragm valve, type 3323, is a technical solution for opening or closing areas in contact with the working environment and is intended for use in industries such as food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical. The electric ball screw drive closes the valve almost without delay with an exceptionally high speed of 1.5–4.5 seconds for electric drives. If necessary, it is possible to bring it to a safe position in case of a power failure using an additional battery. The valve position is insensitive to pressure fluctuations or hydraulic shocks in the working environment. In addition, the device has important functions for process control, valve diagnostics and preventive maintenance. In addition to the mechanical position indicator, there is a 360° LED indicator ring that displays the valve position, as well as warnings and errors. Communication is carried out using various systems, including modern systems using field buses. Well-proven valve housings and membranes ensure reliable overlap of the working environment, are easy to clean and are characterized by minimal stagnant zones. For the type 3323 valve, which has a high degree of IP protection and low sensitivity to hydraulic shock and vibration, even the harshest environmental conditions are not difficult. The hygienic design allows for quick and high-quality external cleaning. The drive force can be precisely adjusted according to the operating conditions, increasing the service life of the membrane to the maximum value.
