The new capabilities of the 7MH4950-*AA01 modules include the ability to provide communication with the SIMATIC CPU through a functional block that is programmed within the framework of the "Getting Started" project.
The functionality of the new functional block has already been tested in SIWAREX modules (SIWAREX FTA, SIWAREX FTC, SIWAREX CS). The SIWATOOL U program has also been updated and corresponds in composition and functionality to the SIWATOOL programs for SIWAREX FTA, SIWAREX FTC, SIWAREX CS and SIWAREX MS. Thanks to the new SIWATOOL U program, modules with order number 7MH4601-1*A01, released before October 2007, can also remain in operation.
Thus, the saved scaling data (in the form of xxx.swu files) can be imported into the new SIWATOOL U environment and used as xxx.swu files.

The TTY port is designed to connect digital remote indicators. A PC is connected to the RS 232 port to configure SIWAREX U.
The SIWAREX U weighing module can also be used in hazardous areas (zone 2), and through the additional explosion-proof SIWAREX IS Ex interface, the weighing cells can be safely used in zone 1.
