The largest manufacturer and supplier of electrical products is a Turkish company GAMAK, presents to its customers asynchronous electric motors of the following series: GFK, LGFK and NGFK with short-circuited rotors, the designs of which have shielded poles with a single-phase winding located on them. The poles on these electric motors have a structure divided into two parts, where a short-circuited coil (shield) in the form of a copper ring is installed on one of the parts of each pole. When the stator winding is connected to the network, during the operation of the electric motor, the pulsating flow induces a current in the short-circuited coil (screen), which prevents the increase of the magnetic flux and causes a phase shift of the flow in this part of the pole. As a result, the flows in both parts of each pole turn out to be phase shifted relative to each other, which, in turn, leads to the appearance of a rotating magnetic field in the engine. Often, to improve the starting and operating characteristics of the engine, magnetic shunts in the form of steel plates are placed between the poles, closing the edges of the pole tips of the stator poles.
