Leroy-Somer high-temperature asynchronous electric motors of the LS, FLS series are designed for use as part of technological equipment in the working area of which electric motors are exposed to high temperature, humidity and aggressive environment.
Differences between high-temperature Leroy-Somer engines and general industrial engines:
- increased insulation class of winding materials H;
- High degree of protection of the motor housing: IP55 /IP65;
- specialized bearing units with the possibility of installing oil tanks for lubrication;
- connecting elements, motor shafts are made of stainless steel (quick disassembly and disassembly);
- bronze cable connectors, power terminals (reliability of electrical connections).
Temperature conditions and design of electric motors:
85°C - S1: LS electric motors in an aluminum alloy housing, bearings lubricated for the entire service life, IC418 cooling (cooling by directional air flows).135°C - S1: LS electric motors in an aluminum alloy housing, bearings with refillable lubrication, IC411 cooling (self-cooling using a metal fan on the motor shaft);
150°C - S1: FLS electric motors in cast iron housing, bearings with refillable lubrication, or lubricated for the entire service life, IC411, IC418 cooling
