Electromagnets
Electromagnets are distributed by a number of distinctive characteristics, the main one being the method of creating a direct magnetic flux.
There are three types of such devices:
- neutral;
- polarized;
- alternating current.
The former create a magnetic force in such a way that it does not depend on the direction of the electric current, but only on its strength.
The second type uses two streams at the same time – polarizing and working. The effect of such devices depends on both the strength of the current and its direction. And the last type is magnets, whose winding is powered by an alternating current source.
Thus, the magnetic flux itself has properties from time to time to change in strength and direction. The latter devices are mainly used in household appliances or larger mechanisms, for example, in the manufacture of electromagnetic plates for work machines.
Due to their versatility and ease of use, the mechanisms in question are used in most industries. They are very often used in a number of devices whose operation requires reciprocating motion of various technical parts. For example, electromagnets for hydraulics are intended as components for remote control of various hydraulic valves.
An example is the same electromagnets for hydraulic valves, which are manufactured in a special way, with a so-called "wet anchor". This definition concerns the sleeve cavity, which is technically connected to the cavity directly of the hydraulic distributor.
The second type is made with a "dry anchor", i.e. the cavity of the electromagnet is not connected in any way to the cavity of the hydraulic distributor.
