Digital Electropneumatic actual position sensor: SideControl positioner (323207)

The robust and compact actual position sensor is designed for installation on shift and rotary motion actuators with standardization according to IEC 534-6 or VDI/VDE 3845. The step-by-step displacement sensor option can also be used to adjust the Burkert process control valves. The setpoint for the digital electropneumatic sensor of the actual position - the SideControl BASIC positioner is set via standard electrical signals of 4...20mA or via the AS interface for communication of sensors and actuators, supplied as an option. Additionally, binary information input and analog communication are available as an option. A high-quality signal is provided about the opening of the valve through a mechanical indication element, and about the state of the device through 3 colored LEDs. All service elements are located in the inner part of the case. Commissioning takes place automatically and the following functions are activated directly on the device by means of a DIP switch: - tight closing threshold - changing the direction of movement of the setpoint signal - selection of characteristics - switching modes manual/automatic. Thanks to the communication software, there are additional configuration and parameterization options, such as linearization of the work diagram through a freely programmable characteristic. The pneumatic servo system can also be used for single- and double-acting drives. It is characterized by a transition to a specific safe mode when the supply of electrical or pneumatic auxiliary energy is stopped and it has a very large useful power range at a supply system pressure of up to 7 bar.
