Asynchronous electric motor of the WA series (EUSAS IEC)

WATT EUSAS® are three-phase industrial electric motors of the highest quality, meeting the diverse needs of consumers. EUSAS® electric motors are designed for Europe, the USA and Asia (EUropa - US – Asia). Due to the wide voltage range and the simple switching of the windings in the junction box, the motor can operate with almost any mains voltage and frequencies used in the world.

100 Hz – Double power:
Together with WATT frequency converters, EUSAS® motors can be controlled (voltage/frequency) using 87/100 Hz characteristics without using special windings. As a result, an engine of the same size can produce double power without overloading.

Connection methods:
Watt Drive electric motors have 9-pin junction boxes, so their universal windings can be easily connected by a star, triangle, double star and double triangle. Thus, electric motors cover most of the mains voltages around the world. EUSAS® electric motors up to and including size 100 can operate from the following voltages: 220-240V (D), 110-120V (DD), 380-420V (Y) and 190-210V (YY). Starting from size 112, the following set of voltages is possible: 380-420V (D), 190-210V (DD), 660-690V (Y) and 330-365V (YY). The frequency is 50 or 60 Hz for any of the specified voltages.

IEC standard engines
WATT motors comply with the requirements of the following IEC standards:

  • Type WAG model B3 – comply with IEC 72-1(DIN 42673) standard
  • Type WAF model B5 - comply with IEC 72-2 (DIN 42677) standard
  • Type WAC model B14 - comply with IEC 72-2 (DIN 42677) standard

EUSAS® integrated electric motors are an integral part of WATT systems.

They have implemented and further developed all the features and advantages of WATT systems. The engines are reliable, meet the highest requirements in the industry, and are able to withstand short-term excessive overloads.

The engines are equipped with reinforced suspension, directly mounted with gearboxes, resulting in a very compact design.
All electric motors are equipped with a brake end plate (on the unknown side). By using additional unified modules (options), a variety of specific customer requirements can be implemented quickly and economically (for more information, see "Complete set of electric motors").
