The AIR asynchronous electric motor series has a huge model range, differing in capacities from 0.06 to 315 kW. The range of three-phase AIR 280 units represents the upper part of the serial series in terms of its power parameters.

Application
AIR 280 electric motors are widely used to provide drive mechanisms that do not require special start-up conditions, speed changes and high energy-saving performance. The range of their implementation extends to various machines, compressors, elevators, cranes, lifts, pumps and other mechanisms, which are based on a low speed of rotation of the working shaft and significant power.

Device
One of the main advantages of induction motors with electric drive is the simplicity of the design, which, subject to the rules of operation, guarantees reliable and long-term use. Despite the large external dimensions, the internal device of the AIR 280 is made according to the classical scheme of an asynchronous motor, based on the interaction of a fixed body-a stator and a rotor rotating under the influence of a magnetic field. The stator winding is made of copper wire and received a star-triangle phase connection.

Features
The AIR series electric motors are designed to operate in a long-term mode without frequent switching on and stopping. All modifications of the AIR 280 are designed to operate from a dual 380V /660V mains voltage and have increased protection from dust and moisture droplets at any angle, which is why it is so often bought by manufacturers where there is a chance of moisture getting on the engine.
The models have from 1 to 4 pairs of poles, which affect the rotation speed, and a 280-millimeter height of the axis of rotation. The high degree of fitting of the components provides an excellent efficiency indicator, which reaches 93%.

Modifications
The S2 and M2 modifications received a short frame and dimensions 1080x660x620mm. All other models in the series, except the M4 with a bed length of 1180mm, were limited to units on the middle bed with a size of 1110x660x620mm.
The AIR 280 series of electric motors is represented by models:

  • AIR 280 S2 with a power of 110kW, 3000 rpm and a weight of 720kg;
  • AIR 280 M4 with a capacity of 132kW, 3000 rpm and a weight of 770kg;
  • AIR 280 S4 with a power of 110kW, 1500 rpm and a weight of 780kg;
  • AIR 280 M4 with a capacity of 132kW, 1500 rpm and a weight of 885 kg;
  • AIR 280 S6 with a capacity of 75kW, 1000 rpm and a weight of 745kg;
  • AIR 280 M6 with a capacity of 90kW, 1000 rpm and a weight of 780kg;
  • AIR 280 S8 with a capacity of 55kW, 750 rpm and a weight of 725kg;
  • Air 280 M8 with a capacity of 75kW, 750 rpm and a weight of 790kg.

Paws with bearing shields, the same paws with a flange on the shaft side or a single flange mechanism can be used to install the engines in a regular working position.
