Three-phase asynchronous motors of the AIR series are designed to convert electrical energy into mechanical rotational motion and belong to the class of large units operating on alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz.

Application
The AIR 315 series of electric motors is widely used in the driving mechanisms of various pressing, lifting, earthmoving machines, as well as to ensure the operation of freight elevators, compressors, fans, pumps and other devices. The main feature of using engines of this type is increased drive power, high power consumption and constant shaft rotation speed.

Device
The device of the AIR 315 series motors, despite its large size and overall weight, corresponds to the standard configuration of any electric drive operating on the asynchronous principle. Inside there is a rotor on bearing mechanisms, the rotating motion of which is supported by a magnetic field. To create a magnetic field inside the housing, there is a copper winding with a phase-by-phase arrangement in special grooves and a phase connection in the form of a "triangle" or "star".
The motor housing has a heat dissipation grate and is made of cast iron or a combination of cast iron and aluminum alloy.

Features
The AIR 315 engines are distinguished by their simplicity and reliability of design, which eliminates premature failure under regulatory conditions of use. Among the main requirements for the technical aspects of work, compliance with the long-term operating mode according to the S1 standard is put forward, which implies continuous operation of the unit with a minimum number of stops.
These models are able to maintain a constant rotation speed under various loads, while the noise level is significantly reduced due to the use of a high-precision bearing mechanism. The efficiency for them corresponds to high standards and is approaching 95%.

Modifications
The AIR 315 electric motors are available on a short and medium frame with 1-4 pairs of poles that affect the speed of rotation of the shaft. The models have the same width and height (765x680mm) and, depending on the modification, from 1160 to 1290mm in length.
