The F-series FENA-11 is a 1-port Ethernet adapter with support for several communication protocols: Profinet IO protocol, Ethernet/IP and Modbus over TCP. The protocol is selected using the parameters in the drive.
Profinet protocol
The Fena-11 Ethernet adapter supports the Profinet IO protocol in DP-B1 communication. With the FENA-01 module/-11, the profinet network can be used either in profile-enabled profidrive profile or ABB profile drives. In addition, two transparent modes – for 16-bit and 32-bit words, respectively – are available.
