ASI instrument sockets have a polyamide housing with an integrated slave electronic device and a connector circuit according to DIN EN175301-803, form A. These sockets connect binary bus subscribers equipped with appropriate plug contacts, for example, valves with an AS interface. In addition, in variants with an M12 socket in the lid, it is possible to receive feedback signals. Thanks to the M12 plug for bus connection, installation time is reduced and electrical connection is simplified. Advantages of AS interface hardware sockets: durability and quick installation by means of a round-section interconnect cable according to the AS interface specification. Status LEDs facilitate commissioning and troubleshooting. Bus power supply: transmission of signals and power supply over a common wire. External power supply: transmission of signals and power supply via separate wires (for example, emergency shutdown or subscribers with high power consumption).
