Pump KSB ethanol RG 250-500; Q=800.12 m3/h; H=58.02 m, 200kW

KSB's Etanorm is a standard water pump widely used all over the world

Etanorm is a classic that has been successful for many years, a classic that we have improved again. Etanorm pumps represent the most popular series of standard water pumps – 1.2 million pumps are operating in all corners of the world.

Horizontal pump with spiral casing, single-stage (standard sizes 125-500 two-stage), rated capacity and basic dimensions according to EN 733, with bearing assembly, in process design, with replaceable /protective shaft bushings and slot rings of the housing. Execution according to ATEX.

Scope of application: for sprinkling, irrigation, drainage, centralized heat and water supply networks, installations for heating, air conditioning, condensate pumping, swimming pool equipment, fire extinguishing installations, for pumping hot and cold water, fire extinguishing water, oils, brines, drinking water, brackish water, water for household needs and etc .

The versatility of Etanorm is unique: it is available in numerous variants as standard – that is, there is an ideal pump for each application. We have once again expanded the range of pump selection with additional sizes in order to adapt the pumps to low costs. Etanorm presents a wide range of materials for various standard applications. Thus, it is possible to choose a pump that is ideally suited for a particular working fluid.

For typical pumps such as Etanorm, fitting the impeller – reducing the diameter to bring it in line with the operating point – can save about 10% of energy on average.

For typical pumps such as Etanorm, adjusting the impeller – reducing the diameter to bring it in line with the operating point – can save about 10% of energy on average.

Fitting the impeller of typical pumps, including low-power pumps, is an effective measure to reduce energy consumption. This is achieved by reducing the outer diameter to a level where the pump performance fully matches the data specified by the customer. For example, if the system requires a power of 46 kW, a 55 kW engine is selected, since in this case the engine has a power of
45 kW will not be enough. As a rule, the combination of engine power and impeller is provided in such a way that the pump with the engine
55 kW is supplied with an impeller adjusted to the appropriate output power.

Nevertheless, 9 kW, i.e. 20% of the energy required for this remains unused and therefore lost. KSB prevents losses by fitting the impeller to a specific operating point, which in this case is 46 kW. For the entire range of applications, an average of 10% energy savings can be achieved. When adjusting the impeller, the pump will be able to operate at the point of greatest efficiency. This also contributes to the smooth operation of the pump, and thus prolongs its service life.
