General industrial asynchronous electric motors manufactured by a Russian company Ruselprom The AOD series with a short-circuited rotor are designed to drive mechanisms that do not require speed control (pumps, fans, smoke pumps, etc.) and other mechanisms with similar characteristics at start-up. The insulation of the stator winding is thermosetting of the Monolith-2 type of heat resistance class not lower than "B". The stator winding has six terminal ends attached to four insulators in the terminal box. The connection of the phases of the stator winding is a star. Temperature control of the windings and the stator core is carried out by six thermal resistance converters embedded in the slots of the stator. The engines have grease-lubricated rolling bearings.

Temperature control of bearing assemblies is carried out by thermal resistance converters. At the customer's request, the engines can be equipped with SKF or FAG bearings. The motors are designed to operate from an alternating current network with a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of 3000 V, 6000 V and 10000 V.
