It is important to note that these electric drives have two-way symmetrical radial ventilation, and have a cooling system of the type - ICO1. Air enters through the end windows in the bearing shields using the rotor ventilation blades (on 5ANM315 using two centrifugal fans), cleans the front parts of the stator winding and the outer surface of the stator core and is ejected through the side windows of the frame. Diffusers mounted on bearing shields are available to direct the air inside the engine.
