Domestic electric motors VEMZ AIRM, 5A, 5AM

Three-phase asynchronous single-speed electric motors manufactured by a Russian company VEMZ (Vladimir Electric Motor Plant) The AIRM, 5AM series with a short-circuited rotor are designed for driving monoblock pumps, as well as for operation in temperate and tropical climates with installation under a canopy in the absence of direct exposure to solar radiation and precipitation. In addition to the basic climatic version U2 and T2, the climatic version UHL4 for low-noise engines and the chemically resistant version X2 with the placement category U3 according to GOST 15150 are also provided. Chemically resistant engines are suitable for operation in rooms with chemically active air environments specified in GOST 24682. According to the operating conditions, in terms of exposure to mechanical environmental factors, the engines belong to the M1 GOST 17516.1 group, that is, they must withstand vibration from external sources with acceleration up to 5 m/s2 with a frequency of up to 35 Hz. The engines can be operated at an altitude of up to 1000 m above sea level without reducing the load and allow operation when the air is dusty up to 10 mg/m3 with non-explosive dust. The motors are manufactured at a rated voltage from 220 to 380 V at a mains frequency of 50 Hz. At the request of consumers, the motors can also be manufactured for other rated voltages up to 690 V at a mains frequency of 50 and 60 Hz. The motors can operate at voltage and frequency deviations specified in GOST 28173 (IEC 600034-1).

The general layout of the engines for monoblock pumps is similar to the layout of the basic engines of the main design. The engines are made in a closed blown design - IC0141 cooling method and IP 54 protection class. The free ends of the shafts are designed to fit the impellers of pumps and have two versions in shape and size: Zh and Zh 1. The 5A160J two-pole motors have two versions in terms of noise level: standard and low-noise. All other engines have only a normal performance in terms of noise level. The motor has an input device of type K-3-I (with a terminal panel and one fitting). The engines can be manufactured with an input device of type K-3-II (with two fittings). Chemically resistant motors are manufactured with a K-3-II output device (without a terminal panel with two fittings). The design and dimensions of the input devices are similar to those of the engines of the basic design.

The motors have an insulation system of heat resistance class "F", and can also be manufactured with built-in temperature protection sensors. All engines, except low-noise ones, use bearings of the 80000 (ZZ) or 180000 (2RS) series with grease embedded for the entire service life. The 5A160NJ engines are of low-noise design, have bearing assemblies that allow partial replacement and replenishment of lubrication without disassembling the engines. The design of the bearing assemblies ensures an axial backlash of no more than 0.4 mm.
