The principle of operation
The channels formed between the plates and the corner holes are arranged in such a way that two carrier streams flow in opposite directions through alternating channels. Heat is transferred through the plate between the channels, and to achieve maximum efficiency, the flow is organized in opposite directions. The corrugations form grooves between adjacent plates, create points of contact between the plates, giving rigidity to the structure, and increase flow turbulence, which contributes to efficient heat transfer.
