Alfa Laval SMP-BCA anti-mixing valve

SMP-BCA - This is a double-seat aseptic valve with a PTFE diaphragm. It is supplied as a shut-off or deflector valve. The valve is suitable for aseptic working conditions such as high sterilization temperatures.

The principle of operation

The SMP-BCA operates with compressed air. The valve is "normally closed" (NC). A sterile stem seal to protect against leaks into the atmosphere is provided by a special PTFE/elastomer membrane. The membrane

made of PTFE, it does not allow the accumulation of product residues on the contact surface of the product. The product lines are separated by two seals and a sterile barrier chamber to avoid product mixing and to provide immediate indication in case of leakage from one of the plunger seals.
