The ability of compact and rational trunnion gearboxes to ensure the correct alignment of the shaft of the working machine and the output shaft of the gearbox, as well as their operational flexibility and the fact that there is no need for a foundation frame/plate are the main reasons for their widespread use in all industries. These advantages are complemented by adaptation to various configurations of trunnions: a hollow shaft for mounting with a coupling washer or a fixed cylindrical hollow shaft (type FP).
