Mass Flow Regulator (MFC)/Mass Flow Meter (MFM) for gases (282523)

The mass flow regulator/mass flow meter type 8742 for gases is designed for use in an industrial network using buS or CANopen buses. The buS technology, based on the physical principles of CAN, was specially developed by Burkert for industrial Ethernet networks and Fieldbus industrial bus communication in applications with multiple control circuits. In combination with the control unit (SCU, System Control Unit) type ME2X, communication via the CANopen communication protocol is transmitted to the customer's field bus. The Mass flow controller (MFC)/Mass flow meter (MFM) communication mode can be switched from buS to CANopen at any time. Thus, the Type 8742 can be integrated into existing CANopen networks. If necessary, the Type 8742 can be configured as a mass flow meter (MFM) or a mass flow regulator (MFC). Calibration for two different gases is possible on request. The MEMS temperature sensor, located directly in the gas stream, ensures rapid operation. A direct-acting proportional valve as an actuating element performs the functions of high-precision regulation. The integrated PID controller provides exceptional control characteristics. Type 8742, due to its high degree of IP protection and explosion-proof design, is suitable for use in harsh operating conditions.
