PLSRPM DYNEO electric motors are the new vision of Leroy Somer in the field of energy–saving technologies. The achievement of increased efficiency of an electric machine is due to the use of technologies with minimal electrical, mechanical and thermal losses. The design is based on the use of an electric motor rotor made using permanent magnets made of rare earth metals Nd-Fe-B, therefore these electric motors are synchronous and their use is possible only in conjunction with a frequency converter.
Leroy-Somer DYNEO energy-saving technologies have an average efficiency 2.5 -3.5% higher than that of asynchronous electric motors with energy efficiency class IE2, IE3. The payback period for investments in energy-saving technologies of Leroy Somer DYNEO is about 3.5 years (calculation and application examples).
