Three-phase asynchronous electric motors with a closed-loop rotor manufactured by the company EMOD ENGINES They are designed for continuous operation on ships and in various climatic zones, with significant fluctuations in temperatures, air humidity levels, taking into account the possible content of harmful salts and other substances. Consequently, the operating conditions of the electric drives on the ship suggest a systematic negative impact on both metals and insulation, with the exception of special versions of the drives. In addition to the general requirements, electric motors of this series are able to work reliably with rolls of ships up to 45 °, withstand longer rolls and trim up to 7°. Equally important are aspects such as insulation, which must be made of moisture-resistant and heat-resistant insulating materials, as well as protection of the electric motor from splashes and water.
Additionally, combinations of flanged and asynchronous electric motors can be used on ships, in which the cover on the drive side is equipped with a flange to which the fan or centrifugal pump housing is attached. In this case, the impeller of the fan or pump is mounted on the shaft of the electric motor. Despite the fact that, along with electrical and mechanical parameters, the requirements for the vibration characteristics of electric motors are being tightened, advanced technological solutions developed by the company EMOD ENGINES They are in demand by customers in many countries of the world.
