The type 8681 control head is optimized for the decentralized automation of direct-flow hygienic valves. Due to its universal adaptation, it can be combined with any standard flaps, ball valves, single and double seat valves. When implementing decentralized automation concepts, the control head takes over all control, feedback and diagnostic functions, up to bus communication. The distinctive features of the case are ease of care, proven shell protection, and materials resistant to chemicals for use in hygienic technological installations in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Depending on the direct-flow valve, it is possible to independently control the pneumatic chambers of the actuator in an amount of up to 3 units. The switching speed for both directions of travel can be adjusted separately. The built-in check valve prevents erroneous switching of the direct-flow valves due to back pressure. The switching positions of the direct-flow valves are determined by an inductive displacement sensor with an analog operating principle and the return signal is sent to a higher-level control system. You can set up to three switching points using the Teach-In function and pressing buttons, or define them automatically using the predefined Autotune auto-tuning functions. An additional 4th switching position can be read and transmitted back via an external inductive contactless sensor. The status display with colored backlight indicates the appropriate switching position of the direct-flow valve or diagnostic functions, such as the need for maintenance or a fault condition. The pilot valves are equipped with a manual control mechanism. When the device is closed, the patented manual control mechanism with magnetic coding allows switching the main drive from the outside.
