Application
Gate valves are shut-off valves designed to completely close or open the flow of the working medium. When using a gate valve to regulate or throttle the flow, the manufacturer does not guarantee tightness in the gate. For regulation, we recommend the use of a special control valve design with the standard designation S33.C.

Technical description
The valves can be hinged or with a lid, with an uncircumcised flow part, a rigid or elastic wedge, a retractable or non-movable spindle. The body and cover are castings or welded structures connected to each other by means of a flange connection. The sealing surfaces of the seats and the wedge are made in accordance with the API 600 standard. The sealing surfaces of the saddles are either fused directly into the housing, or are made in the form of a saddle ring welded into the housing with a surfacing. The valves can be equipped with a return gate in the spindle. The valves are sealed in any direction of the working medium flow. The connection of the housing – lid and the seal of the oil seal is made using an asbestos-free seal, which guarantees a long service life. Valves with a rigid wedge provide for automatic discharge of excess pressure from the body cavity. For valves with an elastic wedge, pressure relief can be carried out by:
- drilling of one plate of the valve wedge,
- a special valve built into the wedge,
- external bypass,
- applications of a rigid wedge.

Management
The valves are supplied with a manual flywheel, with a bevel gear, with an electric drive or with a flange for connecting the drive. Standard connection dimensions of the flange of the gearbox or electric drive in accordance with ISO 5210.
