Pumps and installations for drainage and sewerage systems
Grundfos SEG pumps are submersible pumps with a horizontal pressure nozzle, specially designed for pumping domestic wastewater from bathrooms. The SEG pumps are designed with a cutting mechanism that grinds solid particles to such a size that they can be discharged through a relatively small diameter pipeline.
The smooth coating of the pump body prevents dirt from sticking. The pump is made of cast iron. The clamp connecting the electric motor and the pump housing is made of stainless steel, which provides corrosion protection and facilitates the pump maintenance procedure. The power cable of the pump also includes wires for thermal sensors in the windings of the electric motor. The cable connection in the form of a plug is selected. A sealed cable gland with polyurethane filling protects the electric motor from water ingress in case of damage or destruction of the cable or improper handling.
