Thermal mass flow meters

Thermomass flowmeters are devices for measuring the flow of liquids or gases based on the principle of thermal dispersion. Temperature sensors - resistance thermometers are installed inside the flowmeter. One of them measures the actual temperature of the gas regardless of the flow rate. The second one, which is under heating, helps to maintain a given temperature difference. In the absence of a flow, the temperature difference does not change, and when the medium moves, the heat from the heating sensor is transferred to the first one. Accordingly, to maintain the temperature difference, it is necessary to expend more energy, and this energy just allows you to measure the mass flow in the pipe.

The thermal mass flow meter is well suited for measuring in small diameter pipes, and is more suitable for gaseous media.
