Technical characteristics of hydraulic pumps

The functional purpose of hydraulic pumps is the conversion of mechanical energy into hydraulic energy for subsequent pumping of liquid media into working mechanisms. When choosing hydraulic pumps, the following parameters of hydraulic motors must be taken into account:

  • Operating pressure;
  • rotation frequency;
  • the viscosity of the working fluid.

2 isolated chambers are formed in the working pump: the suction cavity and the discharge cavity, from which the liquid moves, creating the necessary hydraulic pressure.

Such devices are perfectly adapted to work with high-pressure hydraulic systems.

Features and applications of reciprocating hydraulic pumps

Pumps with a hydraulic piston fluid supply system convert the mechanical energy of the working body into the energy of the fluid flow. The working chambers in an axial piston hydraulic pump are cylinders. They are located parallel or axially to the rotor axis.

The advantages of this type of hydraulic pumps include:

  • changing the volume of the working chamber, direction;
  • High shaft rotation speed: 500 — 4000 rpm;
  • working under pressure of 35 — 40 MPa;
  • adjustment of the pressure and the direction of supply of the working fluid.

Displacement of the working fluid from the cylinders of reciprocating hydraulic pumps is performed by reciprocating movements of the piston. By design, the pump is classified as a hydraulic motor having an inclined cylinder block.
