Asynchronous electric motors of the Siemens 1PH7 series with a short-circuited rotor are designed for use in severe modes as part of a frequency-controlled electric drive (control from a frequency converter).
Design and operation features: the electromagnetic system of the electric motor, which ensures constant torque over the entire speed range, and the design of the "Square frame" housing allows the use of 1PH7 motors where DC electric machines were previously used. In most cases, it is possible to install an asynchronous electric motor instead of DC motors 1GG5, 1GG6, 1GG7 without significant modifications. Unlike collector motors, 1PH7 engines have high reliability and are practically maintenance-free.
