The KBM /KBMS series of electric motors from Kollmorgen is a frameless electric machine for embedding directly into the drive unit of the driven equipment. Thus, with this construction of the drive, delay is eliminated, the accuracy of operations is increased, and the use of gearboxes, pulleys, and belt drives is not required to adjust speeds. The direct connection ensures the most compact structure of the drive.
The range of models includes a huge selection of ready-made standard solutions for quick selection of the necessary motor. Fourteen standard sizes with several variations of the rotor length within each group (up to 6 dimensions), with three or four types of winding.
The series can be made as standard (KBM) or with built-in feedback sensors for servo applications (KBMS). Thermistors are installed to prevent overheating of the equipment.
