Bimetallic thermometers

Sort:

Bimetallic thermometer (TB) indicating is a measuring device for temperature control of liquid/gaseous media. The device functions by compressing and stretching a ribbon spiral, which consists of two types of metal having a different coefficient of linear expansion. The deformation of the bimetal spiral sets in motion a kinematic mechanism with a rotating arrow enclosed in a durable housing.

Bimetallic temperature sensors for oil and other liquid media do not interact with copper alloys and have a convenient design that allows you to read all the indicators from such a device at once. They are easy to install and resistant to corrosion, compact in size, lightweight and absolutely safe

Scope of application of industrial bimetallic thermometers

  • Engineering systems for water supply, heating, air conditioning and ventilation.
  • Pipelines for the transportation of oil, gas, steam and other technical media.
  • Technological processes in chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries.

Advantages of bimetallic thermometers for technical purposes:

  • Compact dimensions, wear-resistant design.
  • Increased resistance to extreme temperature/pressure fluctuations, vibrations, and mechanical influences.
  • Weak susceptibility to aggressive substances.
  • Deep immersion of the thermosensitive element into the working environment.
  • Unified types of connection nodes.
  • Simplified installation/disassembly and configuration scheme.

The disadvantage of dial thermometers with a bimetallic sensor is a decrease in measurement accuracy over time, the need for regular verification and calibration with an interval of 24-36 months.
