Mesh filters
Mesh filters (mud traps or mud filters) will clean your pipeline from solid mechanical particles
They are used to remove solid contaminants from the working environment by means of grids of various cross-sections installed inside the reinforcement, depending on the size of the inclusions, filtration of the working medium in pipelines in order to protect against clogging of technological equipment of water supply and sewerage systems, as well as oil and product pipelines.
Where is the dirt trap installed and how does it work?
Sumpers are installed, as a rule, at the entrances to technological equipment, in buildings, in control units of thermal points, etc. The selection of sumpers is carried out according to the diameter of the connected pipeline. They are equipped with removable bottoms or nozzles with a blind flange, for their periodic cleaning, as well as fittings for air outlet and water outlet.
The sump is designed for an operating pressure of up to 2.5 MPa (25 kgf/cm2).
The principle of operation of the filters is based on the design features of the housing, in which the speed of the working medium slows down, resulting in the settling of suspended particles – sand and silt bottom.
Therefore, the medium that has passed through the sump enters the system completely cleaned, and the dirt accumulated in the housing is removed by opening the drain nozzle located in the bottom.
Types of filters:
