VARiON Sensor Technology
In addition to the standard measurement of ammonium and nitrates using analyzers, WTW offers measurement of these parameters based on ion-selective electrodes (ISE). As well as pH measurement, ISE measurement is based on membrane selectivity, ease of operation and the use of special materials.
The potential difference (voltage) between the working electrode and the reference electrode can be measured and converted into a concentration. Direct measurement by VARiON technology allows you to optimize the cleaning performance of the plant and optimize energy consumption. Investments pay off in a relatively short period of time.
To measure or compensate, it is enough to simply insert the necessary electrode into the sensor, everything else works automatically. The display shows the already compensated value. These values are available via a 0/4-20mA current interface or a PROFIBUS or Modbus digital output. The following ready-to-install sensor options are available:
1) Ammonium measurement with compensation
2) Nitrate measurement with compensation
3) Measurement of ammonium with compensation and additionally measurement of nitrates
