Magnetostrictive linear motion sensors TWK-ELEKTRONIK MPE/MSE series they have a non-contact sensor system, which indicates a high operating life. TWK-ELEKTRONIK MPE/MSE series magnetostrictive linear displacement sensors operate on the principle of measuring the passage time between two positions of a magnetostrictive waveguide. The first position is determined by a moving positional magnet, the distance of the segment of which must be measured. The pulse travel time is directly proportional to the distance of the segment. The waveguide is built into a pressure-resistant stainless steel cylinder. The rear part of the sensor structure is mounted in a die-cast aluminum housing, inside of which there is an electronic filling. In the "core" design, the positional magnet is located in a ring, which is located along the rod without contacting it. In the profile design, the positional magnet is located in the motor, which is fixed to the moving element of the device through a hinge joint. MPE series sensors have a profile design, while MSE series sensors have a rod design.
