The AIR series refers to asynchronous three-phase DC electric motors of general industrial design. Such devices do not have special requirements for start-up characteristics, energy indicators, increased slip, etc. This series combines electric motors with a power from 0.06 to 400 kW with a height of the axis of rotation ranging from 50 to 355 mm.

Depending on the power and speed of the shaft, the AIR 90 series engines are produced in 5 modifications: AIR 90L2, AIR 90L4, AIR 90L6, AIR 90LA8 and AIR 90LB8. They are manufactured:
• with 3 terminals in the terminal box at 380 V;
• with 6 terminals - for a voltage of 220/380 V.

Switching from one voltage to another is carried out by switching on the three-phase winding to a "star" or "triangle".
Climatic design and placement category – U2, U3. It can be fixed in any spatial position and, depending on the mounting design, fastening is carried out using paws, flanges or a combined method - the mounting method is specified when ordering.
They are used as accessories for fans, pumps, and machine tools with a power of less than 3 kW.

Application
They are used in various devices, national economy and everyday life, to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. Lifting cranes, elevators, conveyors, winches, pumps, machines for various purposes – this is a far incomplete list of equipment where the AIR series is used, without which the operation of any drive mechanism is impossible.

The conditions under which the engines operate are as follows:

  • altitude above sea level - no more than 1 km;
  • the air temperature is from minus 40 to + 40 0C;
  • humidity at a temperature of 25 0C – no more than 98%;
  • dust content of the air – no more than 10 mg/m3;
  • the working environment is free of conductive dust, aggressive gases, vapors, the concentration of which destroys insulation and metal, and should not be explosive.

The degree of protection of the engine from climatic and mechanical influences must be:

  • IP23 – protected;
  • IP44 – closed blown;
  • IP54, IP55 – dust and moisture proof.

The operating mode should be:

  • short - term;
  • repeated-short-term;
  • long-lasting.

The supply voltage is 220/380; 380; 380/660 V, and the frequency can be either 50 or 60 Hz.
The engines, depending on the design, can operate in the following climatic zones:

  • with a temperate and moderately cold climate (U, UHL);
  • with a cold climate (XL);
  • with a tropical climate (T).

In this case, the engine placement category can be from 1 to 4 according to the requirements of GOST15543.1-89.

Marking and its decoding

  • A – asynchronous;
  • And – Interelectro development;
  • P is the binding of the engine power to its connecting (installation) dimensions, according to the requirements of RS3031-71;
  • 90 is the height of the axis of rotation, measured in mm;
  • L2 is the length of the bed (L), the number of poles (2), n=3000 rpm.;
  • L4 is the length of the bed (L), the number of poles (4), n=1500 rpm.;
  • L6 is the length of the bed (L), the number of poles (6), n=1000 rpm.;
  • L8 is the length of the bed (L), the number of poles (8), n=750 rpm.;
  • LA8 is the length of the bed (L ), the length of the core (A), the number of poles (8), n=750 rpm.;
  • LV8 is the length of the bed (L ), the length of the core (B), the number of poles (8).

Mounting design
The method of attaching the engine to the devices can be:

  • on the paws - IM1081(1001, 1011);
  • on the paws and with a flange (combined) - IM2081(2001, 2011);
  • without paws and with flange – IM3081(3001, 3011);
  • flanged, without access from the reverse side – IM3681.

This allows the electric motor to be mounted in any spatial position – horizontally, vertically, to the ceiling.
It is possible to manufacture air engines with increased slip, two shafts and other specific requirements to order.
