DC electric motors series 1GG6/1GH6 Siemens has introduced 1GG5/1GH5 electric motors to the market to replace discontinued ones. Siemens argued against the production of electric motors with a size of less than 160 mm by the fact that for low-power electric drives there are highly efficient solutions based on asynchronous and synchronous electric machines in the production line.
When designing DC 1GG6/1GH6 electric motors, the manufacturer not only refined the design of the "predecessor", but also was able to make the electric motor highly specialized for a specific industry. Siemens 1GG6/1GH6 series DC motors can be manufactured specifically for the following equipment:
