Absolute Optical encoders TWK-ELEKTRONIK KVE series They are compact, practical and inexpensive products that are used in instrumentation and mechanical engineering. The TWK-ELEKTRONIK KBE series absolute optical encoders have a high resolution of up to 16 bits (65.536 clock cycles per revolution). The measurement range in the single-turn version is from 0 to 360 °, and 4096 revolutions in the multi-turn version. Depending on the type of interface, the encoders have a reset/restart function and an additional speed indicator. The design of the TWK-ELEKTRONIK encoders of the KBE series consists of a flange, an aluminum housing, a stainless steel shaft, ball bearings with an O-ring, an encoding disk made of glass or durable plastic, GaAIA diodes, a photo-transistor matrix with trigger circuits, and a data switching bus.
