Technical specifications

Typically, liquid ring pumps use water as the working medium. The eccentrically mounted impeller rotates inside a housing partially filled with liquid. As a result of the rotational movement of the impeller, a centrifugal force arises, under the action of which the liquid inside the cylindrical body forms a so-called liquid ring. The gas moves in the spaces between the individual blades and the liquid ring. Due to the eccentric arrangement of the impeller, these gaps increase and the process gas is sucked through the suction channel. As the impeller rotates further, the gaps decrease, the gas is compressed and exits through the discharge channel. A cooling system with water circulation can be used for a vacuum pump, and the cooling circuit can be either open or closed.

 

Direct-flow system

The working fluid continuously passes through the pump and is discharged together with the gas.

 

Partially recoverable system

The working fluid in the system is pumped into a reservoir that allows the separation of gas and liquid. After recirculation, the liquid is fed back into the pump as a working fluid along with the new liquid, replenishing the volume of effluents discharged through the overflow pipe of the tank.

 

Fully recoverable system

In a full circulation system, the working fluid and gas are separated in a tank, after which all the liquid is fed back to the pump through a heat exchanger that removes the heat generated during compression.
