Electric motors for general industrial purposes manufactured by a Russian company VEMZ (Vladimir Electric Motor Plant) They are divided into multi-speed, single-phase and high-slip motors. Multi-speed electric motors are available on the basis of the main version engines. 2, 3 and 4-speed pole-switchable motors with a ratio of the number of poles are available: 4/2, 6/4, 8/4, 8/6, 12/6, 6/4/2, 8/4/2, 8/6/4, 12/8/6/4. Two-speed motors with a 1:2 pole ratio have one pole-switchable stator winding. Two-speed motors with a 3:2 and 4:3 pole ratio have one pole-switchable stator winding according to the amplitude-phase modulation scheme. Three-speed motors have two independent windings on the stator, one of which is pole-switchable. Four-speed motors have two pole-switchable windings on the stator. The noise level of multi-speed engines does not exceed the values set for engines of the main design of the corresponding size and the highest rotation speed.
Electric motors with increased slip are designed to drive mechanisms with a high coefficient of inertia, mechanisms with uneven pulsating load and mechanisms with frequent starts. The main operating modes of the S1, S3 and S4 motors. The electric drives of the above series differ from the basic ones by the winding of the short-circuited rotor, which is made of an alloy of increased resistance. As a rule, the operating noise level of the drives does not exceed the values set for the basic models of the corresponding size and speed. Single-phase motors are available in size 80 (5AE80) and size 90 according to CENELEC standards (5AE90K) based on the designs of the corresponding engines of the main design. The motors are designed to operate from an alternating current network with a voltage of 220 V or 230 V with a frequency of 50 Hz. The motors can be operated for a long time with voltage deviations of ± 5%, frequency deviations of ± 2% and simultaneous voltage and frequency deviations limited to zone "A". These electric motors can operate with a voltage deviation of ± 10% for one hour. According to the design of all components, parts and materials used, single-phase motors correspond to the basic three-phase ones and differ from the latter by the presence of a working capacitor, which is attached by means of a bracket to the frame. The engines have a K-3-II input device. The motors have a stator winding consisting of two phases: main (U1, U2) and auxiliary (Z1, Z2). The main phase is connected directly to the mains, the auxiliary phase is connected to the mains via a working capacitor.
