AC drive ABB ACS580 This is a new series of a line of general industrial converters that allows you to configure production processes with the greatest efficiency and minimum energy consumption. All the necessary standard functions are in one optimized device, and a user-friendly intuitive interface and easy parameter setting via an intelligent panel allow you to quickly get started.
These converters are used for a wide range of industries, for equipment such as compressors, centrifuges, blowers, conveyors, mills, pumps, fans, extruders, injection molding machines, sorting machines, woodworking machines, etc.
The included Drive composer software allows you to run, configure and monitor the operation of the drive via a computer (connection via USB port). The Modbus RTU standard is built into the factory configuration for connection to industrial networks, and the manufacturer offers a wide range of switching units for connection to other protocol variations.
The series corresponds to the energy efficiency class IE2 (high), is compatible with IE4 (super premium) electric motors. All models are equipped with fans with speed control, cooling is turned on if necessary, which reduces noise and excessive energy consumption. To reduce electromagnetic interference, there is a built-in EMC filter. Additional boards and adapters are always available to expand connectivity and security, they are easily integrated into the device.
There are three types of structural design:
- ACS580-01 for wall mounting, standard sizes R0 – R9, housing protection IP21/IP55;
- ACS580-04 with modular design, standard sizes R10, R11, housing protection IP00;
- ACS580-07 cabinet version, standard sizes R6 – R11, enclosure protection up to IP54.
