AC electric drive Control Techniques series Affinity – a specialized electric drive designed for for automated control systems for heating, water supply, ventilation and air conditioning buildings.

The use of Affinity converters allows the customer to minimize energy costs by optimizing the operating modes of the electric motor depending on external factors and environmental conditions.

Before the introduction of electrical equipment, the client has the opportunity, using special software, to make preliminary calculations of potential savings on electricity costs and evaluate the payback period of the project.

  • The output frequency of the inverter: up to 3000 Hz
  • The degree of protection of the case: IP20 (NEMA 1), IP54 (NEMA 12)
  • Temperature regime: 0˚C..+50C(operation) /-40C..+65C (storage)
  • Built-in programmable real-time logic controller (PLC); 
  • Built-in EMC filter with easy shutdown; 
  • The ability to connect external EMC filters and brake resistors. 

Modes of operation of frequency converters Control Techniques of the Affinity series

  • U/f (volt-frequency) control /scalar control of an asynchronous electric motor; 
  • vector control in an open loop by an asynchronous electric motor; 
  • vector control in an open loop using the Rotor Flux Control algorithm (Rotor Flux Control /RFC).

  • Reducing the time of setting up and commissioning of electrical equipment is provided by special macros optimized for the operating modes of heating, water treatment, ventilation and air conditioning systems; 
  • Easy scaling of solutions, copying and restoring electric drive parameters restoring and copying electric drive parameters 
  • Low noise level of electrical equipment due to high switching frequency up to 16kHz. 

Configuration of the inputs/outputs of the Affinity electronic speed controller
