AC electric drives Unidirve M600 developed by companies Control Techniques to implement the tasks of controlling asynchronous electric motors and synchronous motors with permanent magnets, the basic configuration does not provide a connector for connecting a feedback sensor, the electric drive is controlled in open loop mode. For vector control of an electric drive with a feedback sensor (encoder), it is necessary to additionally retrofit the drive with a SI-Encoder module.
The Unidrive M600 frequency converter is equipped with a built-in programmable logic controller (PLC, PLC) with a real-time function, writing programs is based on the open CODESYS software environment. The software supports the file structure of its predecessor, the electric drive Unidirve SP to configure the new hardware, it is enough to copy the parameter and program files.
The process of controlling an electric machine in Unidrive M600 electric drives, as in all Control Techniques drives, is implemented on the basis of an effective rotor flow control algorithm ((Rotor Flux Control /RFC), which ensures maximum stability of control and control of performance characteristics in severe conditions, high overload characteristics (the electric drive operates steadily at overloads up to 200%).
Note: The Unidirve SP series is a direct replacement for the drives Unidirve M701.

- 3 analog inputs (it is possible to connect the following types of temperature sensors:
- Din 4408, KTY 84, PT100, PT 1000, PT 2000);
- 2 analog outputs;
- 4 digital inputs + 1 digital output + 3 digital inputs-outputs;
- 1 drive emergency shutdown input;
- 1 built-in relay for current 2A AC 240 V;
- 1 Safe torque cut-off input (STO): ensure easy compliance with the SIL3 reliability class.
Optional Unidrive M600 electric drive modules
Parameterization and parameter display modules:
- AI-Back-up Adapter: allows you to use an SD card to copy the parameters of the electric drive, and is also a +24 V backup power input;
- SD-Smartcard adapter for backup settings using a Smartcard;
- Removable LCD KI-Keypad control panel for displaying detailed parameters and data;
- Removable LCD control panel KI-Keypad RTC for displaying detailed parameters and data, with real-time clock;
- Remote LCD control panel Remote Keypad.
I/O Expansion Modules SI-I/O is an input/output expansion module (3 analog inputs, 1 analog output, 4 digital inputs/outputs, 2 relay outputs with a current of 2 A AC 240 V).
Feedback sensor connection modules: SI-Encoder is an incremental encoder connection module.
