Frequency converters Unidrive M800, Unidrive M810 – the most versatile and multifunctional Unidrive M series AC electric drives in the production program Control Techniques. The 800 series electric drives are equipped with integrated MCi200 PLCs for Unidrive M800, MCi210 for Unidirve M810, programming is carried out using Machine Control Studio software based on the CODESYS industry standard, the presence of 2 built-in isolated Ethernet ports ensure high throughput.

Unidrive M800, M810 are designed for high-precision real-time electric drive control tasks in which additional software processing by speed, torque and position control modes is required.

The use of the optional SI-Safety module provides an "intelligent" programmable solution for compliance with the IEC 61800-5-2 functional safety standard.

  • 2 built-in isolated Ethernet communication network ports (high bandwidth, processing a large amount of data in the network, high noise immunity). 

List of electric motors compatible with Unidrive M800 /M810 frequency converters

  • asynchronous AC electric motors; 
  • asynchronous servomotors with a short-circuited rotor; 
  • synchronous servo motors with permanent magnet rotor; 
  • linear electric motors. 

Modes of operation of Unidrive M800 /M810 frequency converters

  • U/f (volt-frequency) control /scalar control of an asynchronous electric motor; 
  • vector control in an open loop by an asynchronous electric motor; 
  • vector control in an open loop using the RFC-A algorithm. 
  • open loop control for permanent magnet motors, RFC-S mode (without using a feedback sensor);
  • closed-loop vector control for asynchronous motors, RFC-A mode (using feedback sensor/encoder); 
  • closed-loop vector control for permanent magnet electric motors, servo motor, RFC-S mode (using feedback sensor, encoder, resolver); 
  • active rectification mode Active Front End /AFE (providing energy recovery and reducing unwanted harmonics). 

Configuration of inputs/outputs of the Unidrive M800/M810 electric drive

  • 3 digital inputs + 3 digital outputs; 
  • 1 built-in relay for current 2A AC 240 V; 
  • 2 safe torque cut-off (STO) inputs: ensure easy compliance with the SIL3 reliability class 

Optional Unidrive M800/M810 electric drive modules

Parameterization and parameter display modules:

  • AI-Back-up Adapter: allows you to use an SD card to copy the parameters of the electric drive, and is also a +24 V backup power input; 
  • The SD-Smartcard adapter is a transitional device that allows you to insert an SD card into a Smartcard slot to back up parameters; 
  • Removable LCD KI-Keypad control panel for displaying detailed parameters and data; 
  • Removable LCD control panel KI-Keypad RTC for displaying detailed parameters and data, with real-time clock; 
  • Remote LCD control panel Remote Keypad. 

I/O Expansion Modules SI-I/O – I/O expansion module (3 analog inputs (default)/digital input, 1 analog output (default)/digital output, 4 digital inputs/outputs, 2 relay outputs for current 2 A AC 240 V);
