   Leroy Somer Electrical Engineering Company, being one of the largest manufacturers of low-voltage DC and AC electric motors, synchronous and asynchronous generators, gearboxes and gear motors, has long remained aloof from direct participation in the development and production of control devices for its own electric machines, preferring to use equipment from subsidiaries of the Emerson Group in its projects.
