Commader SK frequency converters are a universal Nidec ASI AC electric drive designed to solve general industrial tasks of electric drive control. The optimal ratio of reliability, functionality and cost of the electric drive, ease of setup and commissioning, modular principle of functional expansion, built-in PLC are the distinctive features of the Commander SK converters. The use of electric drives of this series allows equipment manufacturers and service providers to minimize the cost of the system being created.

- Output operating frequency: 0 -1500 Hz;
- Switching frequencies: 3kHz – 18KHz (low noise level);
- The ability to connect external EMC filters and brake resistors.
Modes of operation of frequency converters Commander SK
- U/f – control /scalar control of an asynchronous electric motor;
- Vector control in an open loop by an asynchronous electric motor.
In scalar control mode, both single–axis and multi-axis control is possible - the electric drive can control several electric motors simultaneously.
The vector control function makes it possible to ensure the constancy of the operating torque of the electric motor and significantly expands the application areas of the converters.
Areas of application of Commander SK inverters
scalar control mode: conveyor systems, pumps, fans, compressors, presses;
vector control mode: cutters, extruders, receivers, recoilers, winding equipment, weaving and spinning machines, mixing plants, crushers, metalworking machines, cranes, elevator and lifting equipment.
Standard control and monitoring functions built into the Commander SK converter
- auto-tuning of the electric drive without rotating the motor shaft;
- the ability to set up to 8 preset speeds;
- panel access to all basic and advanced menu options;
- the function of maintaining the speed or torque of the electric motor;
- acceleration/deceleration function of an electric motor with linear and S-shaped characteristics;
- connection via Modbus RTU via RJ45 connector as standard;
- direct current braking function as standard;
- brake transistor as standard;
- energy saving due to dynamic U/f regulation;
- the quadratic U/f characteristic for pumps and fans.
Configuration of inputs/outputs of Commander SK frequency converters
- 2 analog inputs 0-10V, 0-20mA (with optional SM-I/O Lite ±10V module);
- 1 analog output 0-10V, 0-20mA;
- 4 digital inputs;
- 1 digital input/output;
- 1 built-in relay for current 2A;
- RS485 connector (Modbus RTU protocol).
Modules for transmitting, storing and programming parameters
- SmartStick is a card for transmitting and storing electric drive parameters, quick adjustment of electric drives with the same parameters;
- LogicStick – a card for the possibility of programming the internal controller of the electric drive, can be used as a Smart Stick;
- RS232 cable is a USB cable for connecting to a PC.

- SM-IO Lite is an input/output expansion module (1 analog input, 1 analog output, 3 digital inputs, 1 2A relay output, encoder input for a phase-shifted reference signal by 90?);
- SM-IO Timer is a real-time I/O expansion module (1 analog input, 1 analog output, 3 digital inputs, 1 2A relay output, encoder input for a reference signal with a phase shift of 90?);
- SM I/O 32 - Expansion module for up to 32 digital inputs/outputs;
- SM-IO 120 - input/output expansion module for 120V voltage (6 digital inputs, 2 relay outputs for 2A current);
- SM-IO PELV is a high-speed I/O expansion module (1 analog input, 2 analog outputs, 1 digital input, 4 digital I/O, 2 2A relay outputs);
- SM-IO 24V is an input/output expansion module with surge protection (2 analog outputs, 4 digital inputs/outputs, 3 digital inputs, 2 2A relay outputs).
