Universal frequency converters of the series Micromaster 440 from the company Siemens designed for vector and scalar control of speed and torque of three-phase electric motors with power up to 250 kW (with constant torque up to 200 kW). Their work is based on the use of a high-tech microprocessor and IGBT transistors, many convenient functions are implemented, and a protection system is developed. All this makes this series a reliable and multitasking solution for performing production tasks in a single format or as part of complex automation installations.
Regulation can be carried out either with or without feedback sensors. The design of the converter is based on a modular principle, they are easy to handle and put into operation. The most common sectors for the application of this line of electric drives are: conveyors, lifting equipment, mechanical engineering, textile installations, etc.
Technical characteristics of the Siemens MICROMASTER 440 electric drive
- Rated power: 0.12 - 250 kW;
- Supply voltage: 1 phase with a voltage of 200...240 V, 3 phases with a voltage of 200...240 V, 3 phases with a voltage of 380...480 V; 3 phases with a voltage of 500...600 V;
- Control modes: linear and programmable U/f control (scalar), flow coupling (FCC), vector;
- Configuration options with an EMC filter (class A, built–in - for dimensions A-F, or class B - optional).
Configuration of inputs/outputs of the MICROMASTER 440 electric drive
- 2 analog inputs (0 to 10 V, 0 to 20 mA, can optionally be used as 7th and 8th digital inputs) + 2 analog outputs (configurable, 0 to 20 mA);
- 6 digital inputs (freely programmable, potentially decoupled);
- 3 relay outputs (programmable, DC 30 B/5A – ohmic load, AC 250B/2A – inductive load)

- Modules for displaying and configuring operating parameters: - BOP – standard operator panel;
- Connection of speed feedback sensors (pulse encoder).
