The DCS800 Industrial DC electric drive is ABB's most technologically advanced thyristor electric drive (DC Drive, Direct current drive, Gleichstromrichter) for DC applications, combining the company's advanced technologies and high reliability.
Covering the current range up to 5200A, the DCS800 drives are the most powerful electric drives on the market. The built-in programmable controller and visual software provide high flexibility at all stages of work - from performing equipment repair work by replacing the electric drive to creating multi-level automated control systems.
Specially designed for heavy duty operation, the DCS800 drives meet the stringent requirements of manufacturers of lifting, mining, drilling, testing, and metallurgical equipment.
The modular design of the DCS800 drives allows you to expand the capabilities of the equipment and create a solution for yourself, it is possible to install the following additional modules:

- SDCS-DSL serial communication module with other DCS800 drives and excitation modules;
