The use of built-in function blocks allows the user to customize the electric drive for existing tasks. The parameterization process takes place using the CT Soft software product, the use of which makes this procedure visually clear and simple. Less convenient equipment configuration using a typical MP Keypad control panel is allowed.
In this section, we provide examples of configuring the Mentor MP DC electric drive for winding control, for control in the motorized potentiometer mode, we implement the speed setting mode via digital inputs and the "JOG – AUTO" control mode. The "JOG – AUTO" operating mode implies that it is possible to control the electric drive either in automatic mode via the CANopen, Profibus serial communication protocols, or in manual mode (push mode) with a fixed speed via a digital input. This mode allows you to control the electric drive in emergency mode in case of a communication protocol failure.
