Optimally selected configuration of analog and digital inputs and outputs, support of industrial communication protocols ProfibusCANopenDevicenetInterbusEthernetEtherCAT provides easy integration of this electrical equipment into a control system of any level.

The construction of a control system using a Mentor MP DC electric drive can significantly improve control accuracy, reliability, and improve the dynamic characteristics of technological equipment. In most cases, an improvement in the characteristics of the equipment is achieved by using a previously installed DC electric motor (if necessary, you may be offered Leroy-Somer electric machines of the LSK series, T-T Electric series LAK, LAKC to see detailed information).

  • Additional equipment: external field control module FXMP25 up to 25A, mains chokes and reactors, EMC filters, brake resistors.

Configuration of inputs/outputs of the Mentor MP electronic speed controller

  • 3 analog inputs + 2 analog outputs;
  • 3 digital programmable inputs + - 3 digital programmable inputs/outputs;
  • emergency shutdown input of the drive;
  • 2 built-in programmable status relays for 2A current;
  • built-in power supplies +10V, +24V DC (only for building control circuits);
  • tachogenerator and encoder connection connectors;
  • 3 built-in slots for universal SM modules (optional modules);
  • a SmarCard memory card and a slot for connecting it (loading/unloading, storing, copying parameters);

The value of the rated long-term current of the Mentor MP electric drive is indicated under normal operating conditions (ambient temperature 40 °C, altitude 1000 m above sea level), under more severe operating conditions it is recommended to reduce the load rating. Graphs of the decrease in the nominal values of the electrical parameters of the Mentor MP DC electric drive with an increase in temperature are shown at the bottom of this article. Mentor MP electronic speed controllers can be connected to the supply network with a voltage of up to 480V, up to 575V, up to 690V with a frequency of 50Hz.
