DC drive PL 85 (205A, 85 kW, 12-480V, 2Q)

PL – 2 is a quadrant, non-reversible Sprint Electric DC electric drive, most models have a built-in controlled regenerative braking device, which allows you to completely abandon expensive brake resistors or even the use of 4 quadrant drives.
PLX – 4 is a quadrant, reversible Sprint Electric DC electric drive with the ability to recover energy and control DC motors with rotation and braking in both directions.

Rated output power and current: BKD6: 5 - 980 kW, 12 – 2250 A;
Excitation current – from 8 to 64 A (depending on the model);
Supply voltage ratings:
- Power 3-phase 50 – 60 Hz: any voltage from 12 to 480 VAC ± 10% to supply the armature winding;
- Auxiliary 3-phase 50 – 60 Hz: any voltage from 100 to 480 VAC ± 10% to supply the field winding;
- Control 1-phase 50 – 60 Hz: any voltage from 110 to 240 VAC ± 10%, 50 VA;
Overload capacity: 150% 25 seconds;

Motor speed control modes
- by feedback from the winding voltage (AVF) with IR member compensation;
- by feedback from the encoder or analog tachogenerator;
- by combined feedback from the encoder and analog tachogenerator or AVF;
The typical control range is 1:100 with feedback from the tachogenerator.

Accuracy of control of the electric motor in steady-state mode
- 0.1% with feedback from an analog tachogenerator (depends on the tachogenerator);
- 2% with armature voltage feedback;
- 0.01% encoder only, encoder + tachogenerator, encoder + AVF – (with digital assignment);

- 8 analog inputs with a resolution of up to 5 mV plus a sign (+/- 0.4%), 4 input voltage ranges ±5/10/20/30 V at each input;
- 4 analog outputs ±10 V (3 programmable, 1 fixed, for the actual armature current);
- 4 digital programmable inputs +24 V;
- 4 digital programmable outputs capable of controlling 24 V relays, indicators, sensors, etc.;
- 1 internal contactor control relay;

Optional PL/PLX electric drive modules
Parameterization and display modules: A remotely installed display unit, 300 pages of menus and submenus. Each page can show up to 8 parameters, including numeric, text, and bitwise;
Modules of industrial communication protocols: Profibus, DeviceNet.
