Maintenance and repair.
It should be borne in mind that the service life of compensators is limited and depends on pressure, temperature, environmental conditions, ozone exposure, number of cycles, compatibility of materials, range of motion and proper fastening. Compensators are designed in such a way that they do not require periodic lubrication and maintenance. However, periodic inspections help extend the life of the equipment and reduce installation/removal problems.:
- check all fasteners and threaded connections for loosening and oxidation. In case of leakage, tighten as needed;
- if the leak has not been eliminated, check the contact points of the surfaces of the compensator and the pipeline, if necessary, replace the damaged parts;
- In case of excessive deformation or corrosion, the compensator should be completely replaced.
In case of damage to the rotator cuff, the compensator should be completely replaced.
